One alien warrior finds me though. And as it turns out, resistance is very, very futile.

You see, my alien overlord is huge, golden, and determined to keep what he's stolen. Me.

Hexes and Oh's by Koko Brown

Picture
BLURB:
Rosalind Fletcher is a witch but that's not her only secret. Her one-of-a-kind wedding cakes are infused with a loving spell that produces long-lasting marriages where the men never stray, the women don't nag, and none of the blissful couples end up in divorce court.

What happens when a bewitched cake falls into the hands of the wrong person? Like her worst enemy Ace Benedict, who accidentally eats a sample meant for his clients? Well...all hormones break loose!

Surrendering to Ace's lustful appetites proves far easier than finding an antidote, for the conflicted low country witch with a sweet tooth for the blond tight end.

Can Rosalind alter the bewitching powers of a hundred-year old spell before things get out of hand? Will she let her conscience guide her to a remedy or will her heart lock them both in a sham?

Publisher's Note: Hexes and Oh’s was previously published in 2009 under the title, Forever, I Do. Although the basic plot has not changed, the story has been expanded by eight thousands words.

YouTube Video Reviews Coming to POC Paranormal Authors

Hello POC Paranormal Fam!

My name is Stella Williams, and I am the host of the Serpentine Creative Channel on YouTube. I am super excited to have the opportunity to provide content for the POC Paranormal Book Club. A little about myself. I am a paranormal romance author, write life blogger, and an independent publisher devoted to promoting diversity in the paranormal romance genre. My background fits seamlessly with POC Paranormal’s mission, and thus I am expanding my current reviews from strictly paranormal romance to include the sci-fi and fantasy. My review videos will cover the books chosen by the POC Paranormal book club on Facebook, and the views I express will not just be my own but a consensus of the book club readers who participate in that month's discussion.

I look forward to chatting with all of you, and I hope you enjoy what I bring to the video reviews.

Octavia Butler's Wild Seed Being Adopted Into A Series

Hey guys,

I just came across some incredibly good news. Per Shadow and Act, Viola Davis will be working with Nnedi Okorafor and Wanuri Kahiu to develop Wild Seed, the first book in Octavia Butler's Patternist sci-fi series for Amazon. Nnedi and Wanuri will be writing the project. You might be familiar with Nnedi's work, Binti, the Nebula and Hugo Award Winning book (side note: If you haven't picked this book up, do it! I binged this trilogy in a weekend). I'm not familiar with Wanuri, but she's a director, producer and author. Her bio includes sci-fi film shorts (I'll have to check those out).

"The description, per Deadline, which first broke the news: Wild Seed is a love (and hate) story of two African immortals who travel the ages from pre-Colonial West Africa to the far, far future. Doro, a killer who uses his power to breed people like livestock, encounters Anyanwu, a healer who forces him to reassess his millennia of cruel behavior: for centuries, their personal battles change the course of our world as they struggle against the backdrop of time — master versus slave, man versus woman, killer versus healer.

"This is the second project based on an Octavia Butler novel that is in development. Victoria Mahoney, Ava DuVernay and MACRO are developing Dawn as a television series."

While we're waiting for the Amazon adaptation of Wild Seed, pick up your copy of the Patternist series (read the series so we can compare how the film adaption measures up to the books. lol).

Also, recommendation reading: The Binti series by Nnedi Okorafor
